note = "Funding Information: A recent significant event in magne sium research and development is the Magnesium Front End Research and Development (MFERD) project jointly sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Automotive Materi als Partnership, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, and Natu ral Resources Canada.2 One of the nine tasks of the project is Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME). The primary goal of the ICME task in MFERD is to develop an ICME infrastructure for magnesium alloy development and magnesium manufacturing process optimization. This cyberinfra-structure will be based on an electronic “community of practice” web site for development and integration of multi-scale physics-based materials models.",
