Abstract

The relation between structure and transport properties in Bi1.9Pb0.2Sr1.9-xLaxCuOz (0.05 ≤ x ≤ 1.0) was examined by means of variable temperature x-ray diffraction and thermoelectric power. The experimental data show that the tetragonal-orthorhombic structure transformation occurs below 200K in the samples with x<0.5. The anomalies in the TEP was observed within the temperature region of the structure transformation.
