Abstract

A dynamic knee model was developed and incorporated into a whole-body, forward-dynamic musculoskeletal simulation of a stepup task. The simulation was used to study the motions of total knee replacement (TKR) components. Knee flexion angles computed during the simulated stepup compared favorably to those measured in a normal subject.
