Abstract

Allogeneic skin grafts transplanted on recipients presensitized with allogeneic tooth germs showed an accelerated rejection pattern. Apparently, developing teeth contain antigens of the major histocompatibility system, and these antigens are able to elicit a strong allograft reaction in the recipient.
