Abstract
The protocol used clinically to treat high temperatures in burned children is presented. It is based upon the separation of fevers into two levels, with a different mode of therapy for each level. All treatments are modified according to the rate of rise of the temperature and the patient's tolerance to that temperature. The treatment of the fever should not obscure the search for its etiology.
