Abstract
A novel approach of directly writing permanent 2-D holographic gratings on pure liquid crystalline structures fabricated with well established alignment surfaces is introduced. By performing theoretical analysis, it is shown that such structures exhibit tubable bandgap, and will also enable super-prism beam steering effects.
