Abstract

The technical issues of the ultrasonic guided waves were discussed. Some of the basic elements of guided wave testing were introduced. Various benefits of guided wave testing includes easy implementation of leave in place sensor application for wide area testing, cost effectiveness because of testing simplicity and speed and the ability to test underwater structures, coatings, underground structures.
