Abstract

Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is the second most common type of breast malignancy, constituting 4% to 15% of all breast cancers. It is difficult to detect clinically and mammographically. This article reviews the histopathological and the imaging appearances of ILC, with particular emphasis on the appearance of ILC on sonography.
