Abstract

The use of universal mobile telecommunication system (UMTS) testbed at TU delft to provide the basis for a variety of projects is discussed. UMTS telephones emerge slowly and the implementation of web browsing, java compatibility and streaming video browsing are realized by the customers. The delft testbed has provided a basis for research on mobile service design. The increasing demand of UMTS will lead to the replacement of fixed internet with the mobile internet.
