Abstract

This paper focuses on robust stability problems associated with polytopes of polynomials and the important special of interval polynomials. The objective is to provide a rigorous justification for use of the uniform distribution when analyzing these problems from probabilistic point of view. That is, to provide a rational for use of the uniform distribution even when little or no apriori statistical information about the uncertain parameters is available.
