Abstract

A model is proposed for predicting the volumetric behavior of the glassy polycarbonate-carbon dioxide system. This model is based on the hypothesis that the molecular structure of a glassy polymer changes with changing penetrant concentration. The predictions of the model are in reasonably good agreement with experimental data.
