Abstract
We consider the dynamics of atomic photodetachment in a magnetic field using laser pulses of duration on the order of or shorter than the period of the motion of the electron in the magnetic field. If two coherent, temporally separated pulses are used, Ramsey interference occurs. The interference pattern is modulated at the cyclotron frequency, due to the radial oscillation of the electron wave packet.
