Abstract
The experiences of an author while writing a book, Speaking From the Heart: Gender and the Social Meaning of Emotion, are presented. Stephanie A. Shields, the author of the book, wanted to write a book, which would appeal to academics in other fields and people outside higher education. Cambridge University Press published the book in discussion.
