Abstract
This entry describes the life and major contributions of the American personality psychologist Jerry S. Wiggins (1931-2006). The development of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory content scales, the seminal text Personality and Prediction: Principles of Personality Assessment, contributions to interpersonal theory and measurement, and his final integrative book on the paradigms of personality assessment are highlighted.
