Abstract

X-Ray diffraction photographs of oriented poly(difluorophosphazene) fibres reveal the existence of two molecular conformers, one of which occupies a cis-trans-planar conformation: 19F n.m.r. results and elasticity data indicate an unusually high chain flexibility.
